Save The Date – AGI DAY 2024

Theme: Nexus of Power Systems Engineering and Advanced Analytics toward a Resilient and Decarbonized Grid

When:

Wednesday, August 28th, 2024

Technical Meeting: 9:00 am – 4:30 pm

WSU Wine Science Center Reception: 5:00-6:30 pm

Where:

WSU Tri-Cities Campus: Richland, WA

Info:

Please make plans to join the PNNL-WSU Joint Advanced Grid Institute (AGI) on August 28th, 2024, as we discuss the role of advanced analytics towards building a resilient and decarbonized power grid. With a variety of electricity providers and utilities, a diverse portfolio of generation sources, and a vibrant ecosystem of research and development partners, the Pacific Northwest is uniquely positioned to lead the charge in the transition to a decarbonized energy future. Additionally, our regional power industry leaders and researchers have a successful track record of developing equitable policies and novel technologies that will bring the country closer to meeting ambitious clean energy goals.

AGI Day will bring together colleagues from state and federal agencies, utilities, industry, national laboratories, and academia, for a day of lively panel discussions and presentations. We will discuss the need for advanced analytics and systems engineering approaches to meet energy security and resilience challenges to the nation’s energy systems, especially in the light of looming climate change projections, growing complexity with grid-edge integration, and accelerated goals for decarbonization and electrification.

Please mark your calendar. More information will be forthcoming at https://natlab.wsu.edu/grid/agi-events/ or contact vcea.agi@wsu.edu
