Anamika Dubey – AGI Co-Director

Anamika Dubey received her Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin in Dec 2015. She is currently Huie-Rogers Endowed Chair Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering in the School of EECS at Washington State University (WSU), Pullman. She also holds a joint appointment as a Research Scientist at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) and currently serves as the Co-director for the WSU-PNNL Advanced Grid Institute (AGI). Her research focuses on the scalable integration of cross-domain models and data to provide better decision support for the increasingly complex electric power grids. She is a recipient of the National Science Foundation CAREER Award (2019) and the IEEE PES Outstanding Young Engineer Award (2023).

Wei Du – Pacific Northwest National Laboratory

Dr. Wei Du received his PhD in Electrical Engineering from Tsinghua University in 2014. His main areas of research are control design, modeling, and simulation of power systems with high penetration of power electronics devices. He is currently a senior research engineer at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory and serves as the principal investigator for multiple Department of Energy (DOE) funded projects that focus on studying the impacts of high penetration inverter-based resources on the transient and dynamic behaviors of power systems at different scales.

Angela Becker-Dippmann – Associate Laboratory Director, Energy and Environment

Ms. Angela Becker-Dippmann serves as Director of the Energy & Environment Directorate’s Program Development Office. She rejoined PNNL in April 2019. In this cross-cutting role, she evaluates emerging national, regional, and state energy and environmental priorities, policies and programs to ensure EED’s mission strategy and S&T are focused on the most impactful outcomes. She is based in PNNL’s Seattle office.

Sandra Haynes – Executive Vice President for Washington State University Statewide Campuses

Sandra Haynes serves as Executive Vice President for Washington State University Statewide Campuses, providing strategic leadership for WSU Everett, WSU Tri-Cities, and WSU Vancouver. In this role, she strengthens coordination and alignment across these campuses to advance student success and regional impact.

Noel Schulz – Inaugural Director – Institute for Northwest Energy Futures

Anjan Bose – Professor, Washington State University

Mani V. Venkatasubramanian is a Boeing Distinguished Professor in Electrical Engineering at Washington State University (WSU), Pullman, WA. He also serves as the Director of the Energy Systems Innovation Center which manages the power engineering research and education at WSU. He serves as the Chair of the IEEE Power & Energy Society (PES) Working Group on Power System Dynamic Measurements. He is an elected member of the Washington State Academy of Sciences. He was an invited member of the working groups that studied the 1996 Western interconnection blackouts and the 2003 Northeastern blackout. Mani has been working on modeling, stability analysis, and control designs for power grids for the past thirty years. He is an IEEE Fellow for his contributions to the online detection of oscillatory behavior of electric power systems. He is a recipient of the IEEE PES Prabha S. Kundur Power System Dynamics and Control Award.

Jim Ogle – Electricity Infrastructure and Research Principal, Pacific Northwest National Laboratory

Jim Ogle is the Electricity Infrastructure director and research principal at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL). With industry experience since 1995, he leads PNNL’s Grid Research Program to advance solutions that strengthen grid reliability and security, expand transmission and distribution capacity, and lower the cost of grid operations. His expertise spans transmission and distribution operations, communication networks, cybersecurity, and machine learning.
