She is currently Huie-Rogers Endowed Chair Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering in the School of EECS at Washington State University (WSU), Pullman. She also holds a joint appointment as a Research Scientist at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) and currently serves as the Co-director for the WSU-PNNL Advanced Grid Institute (AGI). Her research focuses on the scalable integration of cross-domain models and data to provide better decision support for the increasingly complex electric power grids. His main areas of research are control design, modeling, and simulation of power systems with high penetration of power electronics devices. He is currently a senior research engineer at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory and serves as the principal investigator for multiple Department of Energy (DOE) funded projects that focus on studying the impacts of high penetration inverter-based resources on the transient and dynamic behaviors of power systems at different scales.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\r\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n<div class=\"wsu-row wsu-row--sidebar-left\" >\r\n    \n<div class=\"wsu-column\"  style=\"\">\r\n\t\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/wpcdn.web.wsu.edu\/wp-research\/uploads\/sites\/2928\/2019\/05\/dagle.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-118\" width=\"290\" height=\"362\" \/><\/figure>\n\n<\/div>\r\n\n\n<div class=\"wsu-column\"  style=\"\">\r\n\t\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Jeff Dagle &#8211; AGI Co-Director<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Dagle joined Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) in 1989, and currently manages several projects in the areas of transmission reliability and resilience for the Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Electricity and other clients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Recent project highlights include leading the North American SynchroPhasor Initiative; serving on the leadership team of the Department of Energy&#8217;s Grid Modernization Laboratory Consortium; leading the team that provides cybersecurity reviews for the DOE Smart Grid Investment Grants and Smart Grid Demonstration projects associated with the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009; and co-leading the PNNL Future Power Grid Initiative from 2010 to 2015. In 2014, Dagle was invited to serve on a National Academy committee to provide recommendations for the analytical research foundations for the next-generation electric grid. In 2016, he was invited to serve on another National Academy committee focused on enhancing the resilience of the United States\u2019 electricity system. In this cross-cutting role, she evaluates emerging national, regional, and state energy and environmental priorities, policies and programs to ensure EED&#8217;s mission strategy and S&amp;T are focused on the most impactful outcomes. He was a technical lead for PNNL\u2019s involvement in the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency\u2019s Rapid Attack Detection, Characterization Systems (RADICS) program, where he led efforts in data creation and tested new cyber sensors created by other institutions.
