The combination of leading researchers from PNNL, and the best-in-class power engineering from WSU has created an outstanding collaborative effort for utilities and the electric industry. Organizations like AGI are instrumental in helping to understand the impacts and benefits of new technologies on grid resilience and to integrate these technologies into day-to-day operations. The Advanced Grid Institute (AGI) is addressing this need. Further, the system designs are now facing conditions that many times are beyond their design basis. So how best to address this increased uncertainty?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Washington State University-Pacific Northwest National Laboratory\u2019s Advanced Grid Institute (WSU-PNNL AGI) is at the center of developing a more reliable, resilient and secure grid buttressing this transformation.
